About the Role:
As a Cook/Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness while upholding food safety standards. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food items following company recipes and standards.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and that stock is rotated properly to minimise waste.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to meet customer expectations.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and company health & safety policies.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures, ensuring equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is preferred.
  • A passion for food preparation and excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
  • Food hygiene certification is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).
