Discovery Bay team member ensures the safety and security of children in the soft play area whilst working as part of a wider team to deliver excellent customer service. Supervise young children in a safe and secure environment. Devise and participate in children’s fun activities if needed. This role involves support to kitchen and counter team.

 

Main responsibilities:

·      Provide a high level of Customer Service at all times, welcome and acknowledge customers when they entering and leaving the establishment

·      Be able to use an electronic counter to monitor the number of people we have within the soft play.

·      Be able to communicate with the front sales desk to notify them when the soft play has reached the limit of kids allowed.

·      Ensure kids are leaving the premises with an adult and when an adult is leaving ensure there is an adult left in the soft play looking after the child.

·      Be able to provide help and information to customers when needed

·      To monitor the children playing on the frame to ensure no accidents occur

·      To carry out daily frame health and safety checks as well as cleaning the frame at the start of the shift and when we have closed.

·      Serving customers and making drinks/serving food

·      Provide a high level of Customer Service at all times, welcome and acknowledge customers when they entering and leaving the establishment

·      Check Customer’s identification when purchasing alcohol

·      Monitor the intake of alcohol by Customers and prohibit the sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated

·      Assess Customer’s needs and preferences and make recommendations

·      Providing help and information to customers when needed

·      Treat members of the public with courtesy, respect and politeness at all times

·      Receive payments by cash, debit/credit cards and vouchers and input it into electronic Semnox system

·      Restock and replenish all stock and supplies

·      Be responsible for cleanliness in your work area at all times

·      Adhere to all Company policies and procedures

 

 

Potwash support duties:

 

·      Ensure all cooking utensils such cutlery, etc, are always removed to pot wash area

·      Ensure everything is properly and hygienically cleaned , rinsed , dried and re-stacked

·      Examine cleanliness before distribution

·      Distribute items to appropriate locations

·      Clear all used operating equipment for washing / cleaning in accordance with systems in use·      Uphold good standards to ensure safe , clean and pleasant working environment·      Assist team in keeping all areas clean and tidy·      Remove  rubbish from pot wash and bar area if required and wash bins when needed·      Perform other cleaning duties instructed by Management if required·      Fill in all paperwork relevant to your duties and report any issues to Management if needed
