A whole new range of party packages has been launched by Clacton Pier to coincide with its new £4 million development.

The move comes following requests from families keen to make the very most of the new attractions which provide a safe family environment.

Both Discovery Bay adventure soft play area and Skull Point adventure golf will be added to what was previously available for birthdays and events, such as the bowling alley and rides.

Billy Ball, Managing Director at the Pier, said the parties will be available from Saturday September 15 throughout the year – both at weekends and weekday evenings.

“We wanted to bed in the new attractions and make sure everything is running smoothly and we feel we are now ready to up our offer,” he said.

“We have had so many enquiries from people wanting to book the soft play or golf and we want to be able to meet that demand.

“Both are ideal 52-week a year venues to host birthday parties and are already becoming extremely popular and well used. It just goes to prove there is a market for top quality facilities such as these in the town.

“It is very difficult to survive on seasonal business these days and it also means we are able to provide more full-time jobs for Clacton and Tendring.”

Discovery Bay will come with its own VIP arrival area which includes a safe and secure room available to those making the booking. They will then have 80 minutes in the play area, a dedicated party host, party meals in a private room, goody bags and a present for the birthday child.

All standard party packages start at £11.99 per person and then various other attractions – such as the Dockside Dodgems - can be added on if required at a reduced additional cost.

For further information visit the reception area at Discovery Bay or call in at the Pier and speak to one of the party managers, Claire or Angelica.
