A new indoor Christmas village experience is coming to Clacton Pier at
the end of the month.
The aim is to provide the ultimate festive day out for all the family along
with a host of special offers up for grabs.
The
village will be created in The Parade between Discovery Bay soft play and the Prize
Factory amusement arcade.
The
venture will include Santa’s grotto and a selection of wood cabins selling a
variety of goodies such as crepes, waffles, fudge, hot chocolate, and winter
warmers.
There
will also be a bar for the adults, hot sausages and other food items as well as
live musical entertainment, a Christmas magic show, art and crafts with the
elves, and appearances by Sydney the Seagull in his festive outfit.
All
of this will be on top of the popular Breakfast with Santa experience which was
staged in Discovery Bay for the first time last year.
The
fun all gets underway on November 30 and runs through into January, with the
grotto closing on December 24.
Director
Billy Ball said the aim is to provide a very special festive fair for the whole
family.
“We
now have at least ten attractions open throughout the year and we are going to put
on the biggest and best Christmas the Pier have ever staged,” he said.
“You
will be able to pick and choose which of the activities you want to take part
in, and we will have a great Christmas Cracker deal which will offer fantastic
value for money.”
The
deal involves a round of adventure golf, a visit to the Seaquarium, unlimited
dodgems and a gift of either entry to Discovery Bay or a game of bowling for
just £10 per person.
The
offer extends until January 5, and a festive cinema will replace the grotto
after December 24.
“If
you paid for these individually it would cost a minimum of £18 but this is all up
for grabs for £10,” added Mr Ball. “And it won’t matter what the weather is
like because all of this will take place indoors and out of the cold, rain or
snow.”
Alternatively,
entry for Discovery Bay play area and Santa’s grotto is £10, or a visit to the
grotto alone is £5 per person with a quality gift.
The
whole indoor area will be full of festive decorations to create an amazing
atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.
Bookings
for Breakfast with Santa – which remains at £11.99 – are already going well
with more than 300 people signed up.
