Clacton Pier is gearing up for two of its biggest family events of the year – a nine-day Halloween Festival and a Sparkling Magical Christmas Experience – and tickets are now on sale.
Both occasions promise exciting new features while keeping the much-loved traditions that make them annual favourites for thousands of visitors.
Pier General Manager, Harry Peek, said he is looking forward to welcoming families to both events.
“Year after year these celebrations prove to be hugely popular, and we always look at ways to enhance them while retaining the elements that keep people coming back,” he said.
“We have once again put together early booking deals which represent excellent value, and we encourage families to take advantage of these.”
The Halloween Festival will run from October 25 to November 2 and is set to deliver plenty of thrills and chills. Guests can dare to enter Misery Mansion, take a spooky ride on Ghost Train: 4D, and enjoy carving their own pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch.

Sidney the Seagull will return with his lively SPOOKtacular stage show, while the expanded Creepy-Crawly Cabin offers the chance to get up close with an array of fascinating creatures.
The best-value option is the Frightfully Fun Band, which gives access to all of the Halloween attractions as well as unlimited rides (excluding the Go Karts and Wheel Experience), a round of adventure golf, and video game credits.
The band is available at an early bird price of £14.99 if booked online by September 21, rising to £24.99 on the day.
From November 29, the pier will be transformed into a festive wonderland as the Magical Christmas Experience gets underway.

Families will be able to step inside Santa’s Enchanted Grotto where children can meet Father Christmas, share their wishes, and leave with a quality plush toy and a freshly baked cookie from Mrs Claus.
The grotto will be open on November 29 and 30, December 6 and 7, December 13 and 14, and then daily from December 20 through to Christmas Eve.
A highlight of the season will be Santa’s Magical Sleigh Ride: 4D, which whisks visitors away on an immersive festive journey, while the Festive Wheel Experience will offer stunning views of the decorated pier and giant Christmas tree.
Once again, the best-value ticket will be the Winter WonderBAND, priced at just £9.99 online, which includes the sleigh ride, wheel experience, adventure golf, unlimited video games and dodgems.
In the run-up to these two major attractions, Clacton Pier has more fun in store. On September 13 and 14, children’s favourites Bluey and Bingo will make their very first appearance at the pier with free-to-attend meet-and-greet sessions in the Jolly Roger.

The same weekend will also see Armed Forces Weekend take place, offering unlimited free rides for up to four people to serving members of the Armed Forces on production of a valid service ID card, or to veterans holding an official DDS card.
A military vehicle and weapons display will also take place at the front of the pier across the two days.
