Clacton Pier has lined-up its biggest ever Black Friday giveaway with more than £10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
The pier is offering its annual pass for just £39.99, which is more than a third off the full price of £60.
And everyone who buys the pass will receive a random prize which will range right up from a free entry to an attraction to a Fun Card loaded with £100 to spend on site.
On top of this, those who have an annual pass will also receive a monthly gift throughout the year.
The first three have already been decided as free unlimited soft play in Discovery Bay during January from January 5; a free hot drink in February and free unlimited adventure golf, once per visit during March (excluding March 28-31).
Pier general manager Harry Peek said that every effort has been made to ensure that the annual pass represents the best value ever.
“We are well aware that families are facing difficult financial times and we have tried to respond positively to that,” he added.
“Not only is there an opportunity to get a large discount on the full price of the annual pass as part of our Black Friday offer, but there are other exciting incentives which have been added for the first time.
“We have set aside £10,000 worth of prizes as well as the passholder monthly perks which will run all through 2026.”
Mr Peek warned that the deal will only be on offer for a limited time and advised families to snap it up fast. It is open to both new and existing passholders.
This weekend sees the arrival of Santa at the attraction. Time slots are filling up fast with limited availability to meet the main man and his helpers at their traditional North Pole environment inside the concourse.
Santa will be handing out a bespoke Clacton Pier luxury toy penguin to those who visit his cosy enchanted grotto. They will also take home a freshly baked cookie from Mrs Claus.
The grotto opens its doors on Saturday November 29 and Sunday November 30, and then the weekends of December 6 and 7, 13 and 14, and then daily from December 20 through to Christmas Eve. The cost of the grotto is £16.50 per child with no charge for adults accompanying a child.
