It’s last orders for Oktoberfest at Clacton Pier this weekend.
Many families and friends have flocked to the event and enjoyed all the fun, live entertainment, games, and German food and beer.
So far it has been blessed with good weather and hopes are that will continue on Saturday and Sunday. (October 4 and 5)
Nigel Brown, the pier’s communications manager, said the first two weekends have been a great success and pulled in the punters.
“We are delighted with the turnout and everyone seems to have had a great time,” he added.
“The marquee has been packed with all ages getting involved and making the most of everything on offer. We have been delighted with the response to our third year of running this event and there are just two more days left.
“Ein Kline Oompah Band, Tail Feathers and Neon Beats, a new addition, are ready to perform and remember you only pay for your food and drink – the entertainment and entry is free!”
It all starts at 1pm each day and continues until 8pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.
No sooner than Oktoberfest is over the pier team will be busy clearing away and preparing for Halloween Festival which runs throughout half term from Saturday October 25 to Sunday November 2.
“It really is a busy time for us but one the staff really enjoy with so much going on,” said Mr Brown.
“In the past the pier has very much quietened down over winter but that is certainly no longer the case as we are now truly an all-year-round attraction, closing only on Christmas Day.”
