Clacton Pier has been recognised amongst the very best amusement parks in Europe.
The popular seaside attraction is celebrating being recognised in Tripadvisor’s® Travellers’ Choice® Awards Best of the Best for 2025.
The pier has come 11th in the Amusement and Water Parks category out of more than 1,000 sites operating across the whole of Europe.
It is only one of five in the UK to make it into the top 25, and the sole representative from East Anglia.
The highest level of Tripadvisor’s awards, the Best of the Best winners are among the top one per cent of listings around the world on Tripadvisor.
The award is based on genuine feedback from anyone who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on the platform over a 12-month period. It makes it a valuable and trustworthy designation of travellers’ favourites.
Pier general manager Harry Peek said the attraction is honoured to be included in the awards.
“This is amazing and a very prestigious accolade which comes from real visitors with real experiences and real feedback – rather than from a judging panel or application process as with many other awards,” he added.
“We truly thank those visitors and reviewers who put us in this position, and also our brilliant team who made this a possibility. It is all down to their sterling efforts.”
