A month long programme of Christmas activities
at Clacton Pier has been hailed a success -and is being followed with its first
ever January sale.

The landmark attraction staged festive events
for the first time in more than five years and they proved to be a popular
addition.

More than 86 percent of people who responded
to a survey rated Breakfast with Santa as good, very good or excellent.

Now bosses at the Pier are keen to provide
some added value over the next month and are also extending offers that have
gone down well to year round.

Pier Director Billy Ball said it is about
rewarding loyal customers and attracting new ones.

“We appreciate things can be a little
difficult for people moneywise after Christmas, so we wanted to come up with
some special offers to help out,” he added. “We were delighted with how our
festive programme went down and we just want to keep the fun coming in 2019.”

There will be ten percent off annual passes,
which normally cost £49.99, bought during January.

The passes will now also include 20 percent
off entry to Discovery Bay soft play and Skull Point adventure golf – as well
as food in the Galley Restaurant and Caption’s Table – for all pass holders.

Anyone buying a year’s fishing pass during the
month will pay £50 instead of £75.

In the Lanes Bowling Centre two games of
bowling plus burger or pizza with chips will be on offer for £9.99 throughout
the year.

Children will be able to eat free with every
paid entry to Discovery Bay soft play in school term times between 11.30am and 6.30pm
on Monday to Friday, all year round.

Full details about the annual pass can be
found at www.clactonpier.co.uk from
January 3.
