Clacton Pier will stage its final two free fireworks extravaganzas of the year at the weekend.
Both will take place on Saturday with the skies lit up at the seaward end of the attraction, one with a lower level of noise at 5.30pm and the second main and bigger display at 8.30pm.
The earlier event is particularly aimed at a younger audience and for those who prefer a quieter experience.
The later one will be accompanied by music provided by local firm MRL Productions of Clacton.
For those who cannot make it to the pier, the main display will be streamed live on Facebook.
Communications Manager Nigel Brown said that it will be the culmination of 11 extravaganzas staged during 2025.
“Saturday will bring the curtain down on another spectacular and successful annual fireworks programme which has been enjoyed by many thousands of people of all ages,” he added.
“Our owners provide these at their own cost and with no charge as a thank you to all our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the year.
“The best and closest view is from a spectator area beside the Jolly Roger which is cordoned off especially for the event.
“We are very aware that there are some who cannot leave their homes for whatever reason which is why we started live streaming on Facebook for the first time last November and it is being repeated after being well-received.”
The fireworks are being provided and set off by Dynamic Fireworks of Colchester.
Rides will remain open until 9pm on Saturday and there will be plenty of family fun to go along with the main attraction.
The rides will also be open on Sunday and will then close down for annual maintenance and reopen for February half term.
Plans are already being worked on for the 2026 fireworks programme and dates will be announced early next year.
