The school holidays may soon be coming to an end but the family fun continues at Clacton Pier.
The seaside attraction has added a number of special events to its programme this year – and there is more to come.
Some events have been aimed particularly at the pier’s younger fans and to introduce something different to the normal offering.
Another event will be staged over the weekend of September 13 and 14 and once again will be free to attend.
Two guests bound to pull in the crowds are Bluey, and her younger sister Bingo who will be appearing at intervals throughout the day in the Jolly Roger towards the seaward end of the attraction.
There will be a chance to see the loveable blue heeler pups and the opportunity to take photos.
Harry Peek, general manager at the pier, said he is delighted to secure Bluey and Bingo’s attendance and knows that children will be flocking to the Jolly Roger.
“This is really exciting for us and our younger customers – and the whole team are looking forward to welcoming them,” he added.
“We hope they enjoy their visit to the pier and we will make sure that we look after them and make them feel at home.
“Plus, Bluey and Bingo will be making appearances on both Saturday and Sunday so don’t miss the chance to come and meet them.”
The duo are from the hit-series, Bluey, which is set in Brisbane, Australia, and also features dad, Bandit, and mum, Chilli, and is available to watch on Disney+ and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
The Blue Heeler puppies are full of energy, imagination and curiosity and love to play and turn everyday life into extraordinary adventures with their family and friends.
Although the event is free to attend – and no tickets or reservations are required – families are advised to arrive early to make sure they do not miss out.
There will be plenty of other attractions on offer such as Discovery Bay soft play, Skull Point adventure golf, Jurassic Pier, rides and attractions as well as live music.
Visitors can save 25 per cent on ride wristbands when booking 24 hours in advance.
The last event of this kind was staged in June when Peppa Pig, Mummy Pig and Baby Evie Pig were around to meet young fans in the Jolly Roger.
