Plans are in place for a sparkling magical Christmas at Clacton Pier with ticket sales taking off fast.

Bosses have introduced a brand new party nights package for 2026 aimed at firms or groups, and Santa’s Enchanted Grotto is already beginning to draw in bookings from festive fans.

The entire site will be transformed as part of one of the attraction’s most popular family events and the team is looking forward to creating a very special atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.

General manager Harry Peek said the pier will be building on its much-loved traditional and successful formula.

“We have just completed Oktoberfest and we now have our Halloween Festival and Clacton FEAR on the horizon,” he said.

“But it is also not that long to Christmas, which for us begins on the last weekend of November, and promises something very special.

“We have been able to tweak our offering over the past few years and we will have our North Pole Grotto returning with the improvements made in 2025.

“The response to our new Christmas Party package has been amazing and people cannot believe what we are putting on for the price.”

The party cost of £25 includes a festive platter, Neoverse Bowling, adventure golf, AR Darts, a complimentary drink and an ultimate 80s night disco in the Boardwalk Bar and Grill.

There are three nights to choose from – December 4, 11 or 18 – from 7pm to 11pm with maximum groups of 18. To book email info@clactonpier.co.uk

“This makes the best use of our social gaming area, along with food and a disco and will appeal to those who want a fun evening with something different,” said pier commercial manager Neil Stacey.

“Once again we have put together deals which represent excellent value for a quality experience.”

Santa’s Enchanted Grotto will give children the chance to meet Father Christmas, share their wishes, and leave with a plush soft toy and a freshly baked cookie from Mrs Claus for £17.

This year’s toy is a nod to the pier’s strong maritime history with a white fluffy seal – the second in an ongoing collection – following on from last year’s penguin. It will boast a blue Clacton Pier festive scarf.

The grotto will be open on November 28 and 29, December 5 and 6, December 12 and 13, and then daily from December 19 through to Christmas Eve.

Mr Peek said that some dates sold out last year so advised early booking to make sure families get their first date of choice.

A highlight of the festive season will be Santa’s Magical Sleigh Ride: 4D, which whisks visitors away on an immersive festive journey, while the Festive Wheel Experience will offer stunning views of the decorated pier and giant Christmas tree.

Once again, the best-value ticket will be the Winter Wonderband, priced at just £10.99 online, which includes the sleigh ride, wheel experience, adventure golf, unlimited video games and unlimited dodgems.
