Free rides are on offer for all dads at Clacton Pier on Father’s Day following a successful pilot last year.
The special initiative was trialled in 2024 and hundreds made the most of the fun.
Now it will repeated on Sunday June 15 and it is hoped there will be a similar response from those wanting to enjoy the rides with their children.
The offer is extended to grandpas, uncles and guardians over 18 when a Big Day Out Band is bought for a child.

The adults will be offered a free wristband – and this will also apply when kids are using their annual pass.
Rides Manager Harry Turley said that it is all about parents and those taking on the role being appreciated on their special days.
“We started this off for the first time on Mother’s Day last year and followed it up on Father’s Day,” he explained.
“It went down very well – and again on Mother’s Day this year – so it has now become a regular part of our events calendar.
“It is a small thank you from us to them and means they do not have to pay to experience all the fun of the fair with their children.”
Clacton Pier had a successful Jurassic half term with many families turning up to enjoy the nine-day event.
Life-size dinosaurs roamed the attraction, making many new friends and posing for photographs.
Visitors also flocked to the free fireworks displays, with a new day-time pyrotechnic extravaganza going down well. The next fireworks will be on Saturday July 26.

The pier team is now planning ahead to the school summer holidays when it is hoped that the weather will prove better than last year.
Rides will be open at weekends up until June 23 when they will then operate seven days a week.
The pier has been shortlisted for the Best Seaside Park in the national Theme Park Awards for 2025.
