Santa’s grotto on Clacton Pier is proving a festive favourite with families.
More than 300 children have been to see the big man and his team of helpers over the first two weekends and slots are running out fast for future dates.
Visitors are enjoying the enchanted North Pole grotto experience and animatronic singing reindeer in their stables and making magical memories.
Frosty the snowman, the elves, giant Christmas tree, lights and decorations throughout the site are creating the perfect atmosphere and pulling in the crowds.
Sidney the seagull, the pier’s mascot, is also putting in an appearance in his festive outfit to meet young fans.
General Manager Harry Peek said that Christmas festivities are now well underway at the seaside attraction.
“It’s been great to witness so many smiling faces and happy families – and the feedback has been very encouraging,” he added.
“I would advise anyone who wants to come – but hasn’t got their name down yet – to choose a date and time before slots run out.”
The fun continues on December 7 and 8; December 14 and 15 and then from December 21 through to Christmas Eve.
Santa’s Grotto is £15.99 per child (including one adult) with a quality soft toy, freshly baked cookie from Mrs Claus, and a hot chocolate for the adult. Additional adults pay £3.50 and get a hot chocolate.
