A popular seaside attraction is set to appear on a hit BBC television show next month.
Clacton Pier is featuring on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip with TV host Matthew Wright and stand-up comic Shazia Mirza, along with experts David Harper and Stephen Moore, heading for the coast.
The quartet take a trip in an eco-friendly electric 1966 Mercedes and visit shops in Tendring as part of the eighth episode in the 13th series.
The programme airs on BBC 2 on Wednesday February 5 at 7pm.
Pier communications manager Nigel Brown said it was fun filming the show on the attraction and he is looking forward to see the episode.

“The celebrities and experts enjoyed themselves on the big wheel and eating candy floss as well as fishing,” he added.
“It was great to meet them and local historian Norman Jacobs was also involved and told them a bit about the town itself.
“It will be interesting to see what makes the cut; it was a pleasure to host the stars and the whole crew. They were with us for a large part of the day before moving on.”
Matthew has a passion for fishing and this prompted him to get the team involved while they took time out during their visit to the attraction. He also got to make candy floss with a little help from pier staff.

Fishing equipment was his main interest in the antique shops while Shazia concentrated on gaming and sporting items, as well as Punjabi chairs.
The pier has previously appeared on an episode of Antiques Road Trip in 2021 when the experts were Serhat Ahmet and Catherine Southon.

Mr Brown said the attraction is a popular venue with production crews and has featured in films, television programmes and adverts, fashion shoots as well as music videos – including the Pet Shop Boys in 1987.
The group used the pier for their hit single ‘Always on my Mind’ which was also part of the film It Couldn’t Happen Here.
