Rides at Clacton Pier reopen this weekend for the first time in 2026 with a special half price offer to celebrate the occasion.

The outside rides have been closed for three-and-a-half months while work has taken place to get everything in top shape for the season.

Detailed safety inspections have been completed by an independent team and a number of enhancements have taken place.

General manager Harry Peek said it has been a busy winter with an important maintenance programme carried out during the rides’ closure.

“Our technical services staff have been hard at it since mid-November carrying out the various tasks required for the first event of 2026,” he added.

“February Frenzy begins on Saturday and will run through to, and including, February 22 for half term and we are looking forward to seeing guests enjoy our rides once again.

“Obviously, the weather can have a part to play at this time of the year but we are hopeful it will be kind to us – and if not, we have plenty of attractions under cover for families to enjoy.”

Mr Peek said the event is being celebrated with half price rides across the site.

A Big Day Out Band has been reduced from £30 to just £15 and it will also be half price rides on a Funcard where people can pay per ride.

The band includes unlimited rides (excluding the Go-Karts), 18-holes of adventure golf, entry to Jurassic Pier 4D, one go on the Big Wheel, five video game credits and 50 arcade prize tickets.

The band can also be upgraded to an annual pass for a further £25, which is currently the best price available.

Mr Peek said it is advised to book online as there is a limited capacity each day. Tickets can be used on any one day of the event.
