We need your vote! That’s the message from bosses at Clacton Pier after the attraction made it through to the next round of a prestigious top award.
The pier is now in the regional final of the Muddy Stilettos Awards in the best family attraction category.
Votes need to be cast online by 1pm on April 18, with winners to be announced on May 2.
Those successful at that stage will then be put through to the national final of the coveted accolade which is open to lifestyle businesses.
Nigel Brown, the pier’s communications manager, said the team is grateful to everyone who has voted so far.
“We are now proudly through to the regional final due to our loyal customers and fans who took the time to choose us as their favourite family attraction,” he added.
“However, none of the original votes count and the whole process starts again and we need your continued support if we are to be regional winners.”
“If you love Clacton Pier please get behind us and remember it is also valuable recognition for the town. Awards such as this help to pull in the visitors and are important for our tourism.”
“Please vote for us by the deadline if you want us to win.”
The attraction is up against Barleylands Farm Park (Billericay), Call of the Wild Zoo (Wickford), Colchester Zoo and Gemma’s
Farm (Braintree).

Once there click on ‘Essex’ and then choose the ‘Best Family Attraction’ category and then Clacton Pier from the list of finalists.
You will then be sent an email and you need to confirm your email address or your vote won’t count.
The pier’s Easter Extraganza continues until Sunday April 14 with rides open, a last chance to meet Bruff Easter Bunny and to find the golden egg and win an annual rides pass every day.
