The
first event of Clacton Pier’s 2024 programme gets underway next month.

February
Frenzy kicks-off the calendar with fun deals over nine days when Big Day Out
Bands will be half price, as will all rides for people preferring to pay per
ride.

The
event will be staged for families over half term from February 17 to 25 and
aims to draw in the customers.

Augmented
reality darts in the Boardwalk will be reduced from £15 per hour down to £10 per
hour with all ages able to play, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
Shuffle Board will also be £10 per hour.

Pier
director Billy Ball said the February Frenzy is a good way to start the
programme.

“It’s
a great deal to cut rides to half price and will help families out when they are
looking for something to do,” he added.

“Obviously
you cannot rely on the weather at this time of the year and we also have plenty
to do indoors if it turns out wet or cold.

“We
are keen to bring visitors down to the pier and the town at half term and we
are offering excellent deals to make their money stretch further.”

The
Big Day Out Band for February Frenzy will cost £12.50 instead of £24.99 and includes
unlimited rides, 18 holes of adventure golf, one go on the wheel, five video game credits, and 50 arcade prize tickets.

Mr
Ball said the pier is working on putting together it’s biggest events programme
ever for this year.

“Some
will be our current favourites – such as a magical Christmas, Halloween, carnival
night, ten fireworks extravaganzas and Oktoberfest – with additions and
changes,” he added.

“We
are also looking to introduce some new ones which will be announced as soon as
we have them finalised.

“We
will then be able to reveal the full details of those events and the dates.
It’s going to be an exciting year and we are looking forward to it.”
