A strong programme of events to bring in the crowds has been lined-up for 2025 at Clacton Pier.
Bosses at the landmark attraction have been busy fine-tuning arrangements and taking into account valuable feedback from customers.
Events have proved popular with guests over recent years and are held outside of the main summer season.
General Manager Harry Peek said the aim is to attract extra visitors to both the pier and the town at times which can be less busy.
“We have our rides and other attractions which run throughout the year but the events programme has been developed and enhanced to bring in people at times of the year which can be a bit quieter,” he added.
“We have been able to see what works and what doesn’t and have listened to the views of our loyal customers about what they think is successful and what is popular with them.
“Many of those who attended have been sent questionnaires and the replies help inform us of the way we want to go.”
The programme kicks-off next month with February Frenzy which runs during half term from February 15 to 23 with great value deals including half price wristbands.

It is followed in April with Eggcellent Easter from April 5 to 21 with the Easter Bunny returning as well as an egg hunt. Jurassic Half Term operates from May 24 to 31 and welcomes back life-size walking dinosaurs.
There is a break for the summer and then Oktoberfest will be staged over three weekends – September 20 and 21, 27 and 28, and October 4 and 5. These will be during the day and on Saturdays and Sundays and include free live entertainment and authentic German food and drink.
“We are retaining three weekends and a larger marquee, rather than the two weekends we started with in the first year of Oktoberfest in 2023,” said Mr Peek.

The pier’s Halloween Festival takes place from October 25 to November 2 over the half term with plenty of spooky fun for all the family.
The programme is rounded off with Magical Christmas with Santa’s grotto open on November 29 and 30; December 6 and 7; 13 and 14 and 20 to 24.
“We are confident that this strong programme of events will bring in the families and has plenty for all ages to enjoy,” added Mr Peek. “Full details of each will be unveiled nearer the time.”
These events are on top of 11 free fireworks extravaganzas and the pier’s annual Carnival night on August 8 to support the town’s carnival week.
